1This is an Application filed under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), alleging discrimination with respect to employment because of sex.
2On December 10, 2012, the parties filed a Settlement form (Form 25), also dated December 10, 2012, in which they request that the Tribunal issue an Order under s. 45.9 (2) of the Code. Pursuant to s. 45.9 (2) and on the joint request of the parties, the Tribunal makes the following Final Order in this Application:
The applicant shall execute a Release and Indemnity in consideration of the respondents’ payment of the below settlement funds;
The respondents shall pay to the applicant the amount of $4,000.00 in settlement of the claim for the breach of her human rights, broken down as follows:
a. The respondents shall pay $2,000.00 to the applicant by issuing a cheque in her name and sending it to the applicant’s counsel within seven (7) days of the return of the signed Release;
b. The respondents shall pay the remaining $2,000.00 to the applicant by issuing a cheque in her name and sending it to the applicant’s counsel within sixty (60) days of the return of the signed Release.
3The Tribunal’s file shall be closed.
