DECISION
Adjudicator: Jay Sengupta
Indexed as: Morelli v. Resolute Forest Products
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended, (the “Code”), on April 17, 2012.
2On May 24, 2012, the Tribunal sent a letter entitled “Notice of Intent to Dismiss” to the applicant. In it, the letter stated that it appeared that the Application was outside the jurisdiction of the Tribunal because a review of the narrative failed to identify any specific acts of discrimination within the meaning of the Code allegedly committed by the respondents.
3The applicant was directed to provide written submissions by June 25, 2012.
4On June 20, 2012, the applicant sent a letter seeking an extension of time to provide his submissions until July 24, 2012. The Tribunal extended the deadline to July 24, 2012 by way of a letter dated June 22, 2012.
5The applicant has not sent in any submissions or made further contact with the Tribunal. His extended deadline has now passed.
6Accordingly, the Application is dismissed as abandoned.
Dated at Toronto, this 24^th^ day of October, 2012.
