INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Naomi Overend Date: June 12, 2012 Citation: 2012 HRTO 1154 Indexed as: Salimi v. Toronto Community Housing Corporation
APPEARANCES
Ali Reza Salimi, Applicant Susan Kaufman, Counsel
Toronto Community Housing, Respondent W. Gordon Steinberg, Representative
DECISION
1This is an Application alleging a Contravention of Settlement contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the "Code"). This matter was scheduled to proceed to a hearing on April 23, 2012, but was unable to proceed on that day as the Notice of Confirmation of Hearing had not been sent to the respondent's representative. It has been re-scheduled and the parties have attended on three subsequent dates.
2The applicant was unable to attend on the most recent date for what appear to be health reasons. In addition, the parties are attempting to resolve this matter and require more time. Rather than re-schedule to a date on which it was not known whether the applicant would be able to attend, I orally ruled on June 7, 2012 that the matter would be adjourned sine die.
3The parties are to advise the Registrar if they are able to reach a resolution by filing a Form 25. In the alternative, if they are unable to resolve this matter on their own, the parties are to advise the Tribunal forthwith, and provide dates on which they are available to re-schedule a half-day hearing in this matter.
Dated at Toronto, this 12th day of June, 2012.
