1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Ontario Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), alleging discrimination with respect to employment because of disability and age, on June 8, 2010. The Application was sent to the respondents and to the United Steelworkers, Local 8694, (“the Union”), the bargaining agent for the applicant, as an interested party in respect of the Application.
2On September 30, 2010, the Union made a request to intervene in this proceeding. The Union indicates that it has an interest and relevant information regarding the issues and remedies raised in the Application.
3In accordance with the Tribunal’s standard practice where an applicant is a member of a bargaining unit represented by the Union, the Union’s Request to intervene is granted. The scope of the Union’s participation in the hearing on the merits will be decided by the adjudicator.
4The style of cause is amended to add the Union as an intervenor.
