DECISION

Indexed as: E.O. v. Children’s Aid Society of Toronto
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), on May 14, 2010.
2On March 15, 2011, the Tribunal issued a Case Assessment Direction (“CAD”). In the CAD, the Tribunal noted that the applicant had previously failed to respond to the Tribunal‘s demand for written submissions by January 13, 2011.
3In the CAD, the applicant was directed to confirm her intention to participate in a teleconference hearing by March 31, 2011. The CAD indicated that the failure to do so may result in her Application being dismissed as abandoned.
4The applicant has not confirmed her intention to participate in a teleconference hearing and the time for doing so has now passed.
5In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
6The Application is dismissed.
