INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Ena Chadha Date: October 21, 2011 Citation: 2011 HRTO 1908 Indexed as: King v. Intercon Security Limited
Decision
1The respondents in Application 2011-09024-I filed a Request for Order During Proceedings asking the Tribunal to consolidate that matter with Application 2011-09025-I on the basis that the applicant is the same in both cases, the Applications make the same allegations and relate to the same series of events.
2The applicant and the respondents in Application 2011-09025-I consent to the consolidation request.
3In light of the parties’ agreement and their overlapping interests, as well as given that the Applications involve the same subject matter, it is appropriate that these Applications be consolidated pursuant to Rule 1.7(d) of the Tribunal’s Rules of Procedure.
4All parties have indicated a willingness to participate in mediation. I am also satisfied that proceeding together for the purposes of mediation may facilitate a fair, just and expeditious resolution of the matters.
5The Tribunal orders that the Applications be consolidated and proceed together for the purposes of mediation and, if necessary, a hearing.
6I am not seized.
Dated at Toronto, this 21^st^ day of October 2011.
