INTERIM DECISION
This is an Application filed on July 14, 2009 under section 34 of Part IV of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19 as amended (the "Code"). The Tribunal has scheduled a preliminary hearing on October 17, 2011, for the purpose of receiving the parties' submissions on the application of issue estoppel in the circumstances of this Application.
The applicant has filed a Request for an Order During Proceedings, seeking leave to amend the Application to include a claim for compensation for injury to dignity, feelings and self-respect in the amount of $20,000 in addition to the wage loss claim included in the Application. The respondent has not filed a Response to the Request.
Having regard to the nature of the amendments, the stage at which the Request is made, and the absence of any apparent prejudice, the Tribunal grants the Request.
I am not seized of this matter.
Dated at Toronto this 31st day of August, 2011.
