Indexed as: Bowman v. Toronto Police Services Board
Decision
1This is an Application made under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H. 19, as amended.
2The respondents have requested an extension of time to deliver to the applicant their list of arguably relevant documents. The list should have been delivered no later than August 3, 2011 but given the absence of his advisors/clients due to summer vacations, counsel for the respondents indicates that he has been unable to complete the list. He asks that he be given until September 16, 2011 to deliver to the applicant the respondents’ list of arguably relevant documents. The applicant, who is unrepresented, objects to the extension.
3Other than pointing out that he has met all of the time-lines to date, which is noted, the applicant has not demonstrated that the extension would result in a substantial prejudice to him particularly given that the hearing is not scheduled until January 2012.
4The respondents are granted an extension until September 16, 2011 to deliver to the applicant their list of arguably relevant documents.
5I am not seized of this matter.
Dated at Toronto, this 11th day of August, 2011.
