Date: August 8, 2011
Citation: 2011 HRTO 1475
Indexed as: La Forest v. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada
1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”), on February 11, 2011.
2On July 5, 2011, the Tribunal issued a Case Assessment Direction (“CAD”) in regard to a Notice of Incomplete Application sent to the applicant. The CAD directed the applicant to provide answers to several specific questions. The applicant was directed to respond to the CAD within 14 days and advised that failure to respond may be considered an abandonment of the Application and it might be dismissed for that reason.
3The applicant has not responded to the CAD and the time for doing so has now passed.
4In the circumstances, the applicant is deemed to have abandoned the Application.
5The Application is dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 8th day of August, 2011.
