Interim Decision
Adjudicator: Keith Brennenstuhl Date: July 11, 2011 Citation: 2011 HRTO 1321 Indexed as: Macyshyn v. Toronto Police Services Board
1This is an Application filed on March 24, 2010, under section 34 of Part IV of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended, (the "Code").
2The purpose of this Interim Decision is to address the applicant's Request for Order During Proceedings ("Request") filed by the applicant on June 15, 2011. The order requested is: "I would like to have William Blair and Mayor Rob Ford to be present at this hearing" The hearing Is scheduled for July 25, 2011.
3Neither the City of Toronto or Mayor Ford are party to this application. There are no factual allegations pleaded against either Mayor Ford or William Blair. Moreover, there is no indication that either Mayor Ford or William Blair would have any relevant knowledge or evidence about the Application. In my view, no bona fide purpose would be served by having the presence of Mayor Ford or William Blair at the hearing. The Request is denied.
4I am not seized.
Dated at Toronto, this 11th day of July, 2011.
