HUMAN RIGHTS TRIBUNAL OF ONTARIO
B E T W E E N:
Matthew Vegh Applicant
-and-
Her Majesty the Queen in the Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Finance and Minister of Revenue Respondent
INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Judith Keene Date: January 28, 2010 Citation: 2010 HRTO 199 Indexed as: Vegh v. Ontario (Finance)
1On November 24, 2009, the Tribunal issued an Interim Decision, 2009 HRTO 2005, deferring this Application until the applicant's appeal under the Income Tax Act, with respect to a question of payment of the Child Tax Benefit, is dealt with.
2The applicant filed a Request for Order During Proceedings dated December 12, 2009, requesting reconsideration of the Interim Decision, production of certain documents and an interim order for the immediate payment of benefits.
3Rule 26 of the Tribunal's Rules of Procedure allows for reconsideration of final decisions of the Tribunal. The decision in respect of which the applicant seeks reconsideration is not a final decision. The Tribunal retains discretion to vary or revise procedural rulings. However, there appears to be no reason in this case to do so.
4The applicant is reminded that Rules 14.3 and 14.4 outline a process by which the Application may be brought back on after the other proceeding has been concluded. The applicant may revive his other requests, and the Tribunal will deal with them, when the Application is brought back on.
5I am not seized of this matter.
Dated at Toronto, this 28^th^ day of January 2010.
