1This Application was filed by Nastaran Roushan on behalf of Abdul Baqi under section 34.5 of the Ontario Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19 as amended, (the “Code”) on February 16, 2010, alleging discrimination on the basis of disability and creed in the areas of services, goods and facilities.
2The respondent Providence Care Mental Health Services (“Providence”) filed its Response on May 13, 2010. The respondent Ministry of Community Safety and Correction Service (“Ministry”) filed its Response on May 17, 2010.
3On July 26, 2010, counsel for Mr. Baqi filed a Request to Amend the Application to remove Roushan so as to allow the Application to proceed with Mr. Baqi as the applicant and in his name only. A Request to Withdraw (Form 10) was also filed at the same time by Mr. Baqi.
4On July 27 2010, Providence filed its consent to the Request to Withdraw the Application. The Tribunal has received no communications or correspondence from the respondent Ministry with respect to the Request to Withdraw.
5The Tribunal grants the Request to Amend the Application to name Mr. Baqi as the applicant. The style of cause is amended accordingly and the Tribunal dismisses the Application as withdrawn.
