DECISION
Adjudicator: Judith Keene
Indexed as: Jones v. Rama
1This is a Decision in respect of an Application filed on October 6, 2009, under section 34 of Part IV of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended.
2On February 9, 2010, the Tribunal issued a Notice of Application to the respondent. The Notice of Application was returned as undeliverable on March 30, 2010. On March 31, 2010, Tribunal staff left messages on the applicant’s cell phone and home phone, advising that the Application had been returned and asking that he contact the Tribunal to confirm the correct address for the respondent. The applicant did not contact the Tribunal.
3On July 7, 2010, the Tribunal wrote to the applicant, directing him, within twenty days of the letter, either to provide the Tribunal with a current address for the respondent or to provide his reasons for believing that the address he had given was correct. The letter directed the applicant to the Applicant’s Guide, which contains information on how contact information can be found or verified. The letter indicated that the Application might be dismissed if the applicant did not provide the requested information.
4The applicant has not contacted the Tribunal. In the circumstances, the Tribunal deems the Application abandoned and it is accordingly dismissed.
Dated at Toronto, this 12th day of August, 2010.
