1The applicant filed an Application under s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, alleging discrimination in employment on the basis of disability and a failure to accommodate as a result of a transfer to a different work location and a failure to provide physical accommodations within the new work location. The applicant has also filed a request to expedite the Application.

2In support of the Request to Expedite the applicant alleges that the failure to accommodate her may cause stress that will affect her physical injuries. She states that the stress of the accommodation process may cause deterioration in her quality of life.

3I am not satisfied these factors “demonstrate that the circumstances are truly urgent, requiring the resolution of the human rights dispute in a particularly rapid manner as compared with the time required to complete the Tribunal’s regular process”: Weerawardane v. 2152458 Ontario Ltd., 2008 HRTO 53. Alleged human rights violations generally cause stress to all parties, but this does not justify prioritizing this Application over others that are awaiting Tribunal resources or shortening the Tribunal’s already tight timelines in a case that requires time to prepare.

4Accordingly, the Request to Expedite is dismissed. I am not seized.
