DECISION
Adjudicator: Sherry Liang
Date: June 15, 2009
Citation: 2009 HRTO 838
Indexed as: Wrotek v. Rogers
1These matters are Applications filed on January 7 and March 4, 2009 under section 34 of Part IV of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19 as amended (the “Code”). In the first, the applicant alleges discrimination in employment on the grounds of disability. In the second, the applicant alleges that his termination from employment on January 14, 2009 was a reprisal for filing his earlier Application.
2In response to the Tribunal’s Interim Decision, 2009 HRTO 732 of June 1, 2009, the applicant has requested that the Tribunal redirect his Applications to the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC), or allow him to initiate the transfer of his Applications to the CHRC.
3The Tribunal has no power to transfer applications to another jurisdiction. Further, the applicant does not require the Tribunal’s permission to initiate an application to the CHRC.
4In the circumstances, the Applications are withdrawn with leave of the Tribunal.
Dated at Toronto this 15th day of June, 2009.
