INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Sherry Liang
Date: June 9, 2009
Citation: 2009 HRTO 798
Indexed as: Kumar v. Ontario (Transportation)
[1] In this complaint, the Ontario Human Rights Commission (the Commission) has filed a Request for an Order during Proceedings, dated May 27, 2009, seeking an order "acknowledging the Commission’s withdrawal from the proceeding, and finding that the withdrawal does not give rise to transitional issues and need not be the subject of any conditions."
[2] The Request was served on the other parties, none of whom have responded. Although the hearing in this matter begins tomorrow, June 10, 2009, all parties have known of the Commission’s intent to withdraw since at least December of 2008. No request is made for any transitional directions and I am satisfied that none are required. Having regard to the material before it, the Tribunal allows the Commission’s request to withdraw from active participation in these proceedings. The Commission will continue to receive notice of the proceedings.
Dated at Toronto, this 9^th^ day of June, 2009.
