[1] This is an Application alleging discrimination in employment and membership in a vocational association on the ground of ethnic origin, contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended, (the “Code”). A hearing was scheduled for May 25, 2009 commencing at 9:30 am at the Tribunal’s hearing centre in Toronto.
[2] The applicant was not present at the hearing. In accordance with its usual practice, the Tribunal waited until 10:00 am before proceeding.
[3] I am satisfied that the applicant had notice of the hearing. In addition to the Confirmation of Hearing notice, the Tribunal issued several Case Assessment Directions in this matter. None of these documents were returned to the Tribunal.
[4] In view of the applicant’s non-attendance, the Application is hereby dismissed.
