John Tewogbade v. Toronto Police Services Board, 2009 HRTO 465

1This is an Application filed January 7, 2009 under section 53(5) of Part VI of the Ontario Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”). No mediation or hearing has been scheduled in this matter.

2On April 11, 2009, the applicant’s counsel wrote to the Tribunal asking for an order that the Application be granted as the respondents had not filed a Response within 35 days. The respondents subsequently sought an extension of time to file their Response, which was granted by the Registrar-Transition, and filed their Response on April 17, 2009.

3As both parties have indicated a desire to participate in mediation, this Application shall proceed to mediation. If mediation does not resolve the dispute between the parties, the applicant may raise his Request for an order granting the application at the appropriate time.
