INTERIM DECISION
Adjudicator: Kaye Joachim Date: March 27, 2009 Citation: 2009 HRTO 357 Indexed as: Noble v. Peel Law Association
Decision
1These are two Applications made under the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19 as amended (the "Code"). Tribunal File 2008-00075-I ("the section 34 Application") is an Application filed under section 34 of Part IV of the Code.
2Tribunal File TR-0023-09 ("the transition Application") is a complaint originally filed with the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC). This was brought before the Tribunal on February 6, 2009 through an Application made under section 53(5) of the Code (the transition provisions).
3The purpose of this Interim Decision is to deal with the applicants' request to consolidate the two Applications. The respondents do not oppose the request to consolidate.
4Both Applications arise out of the same incident and involve the same parties and issues. Accordingly, these Applications will be processed together under the Rules of Procedure governing Applications under the Human Rights Code, Part IV.
5Future communications in these Applications should be addressed solely to the Registrar and not to the Registrar-Transition.
Dated at Toronto, this 27th day of March, 2009.
