1In a previous interim decision in this matter, Dorohoi v. Teletech Canada Inc., 2008 HRTO 357, the Tribunal noted that a Response had not been filed within the timeline set by the Tribunal’s Rules of Procedure, and directed the respondent to file a Response by December 9, 2008. On December 9, 2008, the respondent e-mailed the Tribunal, and requested an additional two weeks to respond to the Application due to extenuating personal circumstances.

2The respondent’s e-mail request was not copied to the applicant, as required by Rule 1.12 of the Tribunal’s Rules. A copy of the email shall be faxed and mailed to the applicant with this decision.

3In the circumstances, the request for an extension is granted. The respondent shall file its Response by December 23, 2008. Given the short timeframe, this decision shall be faxed and mailed to both parties.
