1The applicant filed an Application with the Tribunal on October 23, 2008, pursuant to s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”). She alleges discrimination in employment on the basis of sex (pregnancy).
2In her Application, the applicant originally named “North Bay North, License Bureau” as the respondent organization. The respondents filed their Response on November 12, 2008. In their Response, the respondents identified “1481979 Ontario Inc.” as the full legal name of the organization. Accordingly, the style of cause is amended to reflect the proper name of the respondent organization.
3The applicant has filed a Request to Expedite Proceedings. In their Response to the Request to Expedite, the respondents agree to expedite the proceedings; however further indicate that the personal respondent is unavailable from December 1 – 20, 2008.
4The parties have advised the Tribunal they are prepared to engage in mediation.
5In light of the above, the Tribunal will schedule a mediation date as soon as possible after December 20, 2008.
6All time requirements under the Tribunal’s Rules remain in effect, including timelines with respect to service and filing of any Reply.
7The Tribunal will determine the Request to Expedite Proceedings following the mediation if it does not result in a settlement.
8I am not seized of this matter.
