1The applicant filed an Application with the Tribunal on October 3, 2008, pursuant to s. 34 of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”). She alleges discrimination in employment on the basis of sex (pregnancy).

2The applicant has filed a Request to Expedite Proceedings. In their Response to the Request to Expedite, the respondents indicate they do not object to the Request.

3The parties have advised the Tribunal they are prepared to engage in mediation.

4In light of the above, the Tribunal will schedule a mediation date as soon as possible. The Registrar’s office will be in contact with the parties shortly.

5All time requirements under the Rules remain in effect, including the requirement for the respondent to deliver and file the Response to Application (Form 2) by November 12, 2008.

6The Tribunal will determine the Request to Expedite Proceedings following the mediation if it does not result in a settlement.
