Exhibit 1, the Commission's pleadings in this matter, request a remedy that includes the development of an accommodation policy for the Respondent Corporation. I am satisfied that the Association has a significant interest in what the terms of such an Order might be.
Accordingly, the Association's application for leave to intervene to make oral and written submissions confined to that issue only is granted. The Association will be provided with a copy of my written reasons for decision on the issue of whether the complainant's rights were infringed. Should further proceedings on the issue of remedy be required, the Association will be involved in the scheduling of those proceedings.
Dated at Toronto, this 19th day of September, 2000.
