The applicants sought judicial review of a decision by the Refugee Appeal Division dismissing their appeal from the Refugee Protection Division's rejection of their asylum claim. They alleged fear of persecution in Nigeria due to threats from a family member insisting their daughters undergo female genital mutilation. The RPD found they had an internal flight alternative in Abuja. The applicants argued the RAD unreasonably discounted evidence of their persecutor's political connections and means to locate them. The Court held the RAD's finding pertained to the insufficiency of evidence, not credibility, and was reasonable. The application for judicial review was dismissed.
