The applicant mother brought a motion to change a 2006 child support order.
Following a six-day trial, the court ordered the respondent father to pay $24,036.03 in retroactive table child support, finding he had unilaterally stopped paying in 2021.
The court declined to order retroactive section 7 expenses due to insufficient evidence.
On a go-forward basis, the court imputed the father's income at $141,220 and the mother's at $91,800, ordering the father to pay $1,974.55 monthly for two adult children in university and 60.5% of ongoing section 7 expenses.
The father was also ordered to maintain the mother as the irrevocable beneficiary of his life insurance policy.
