ORDER
1The Applicant filed a claim with the CICB seeking compensation pursuant to the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act, RSO 1990, c. C.24.
2The Applicant was served by mail with a notice of hearing at her last known address. As such, we are satisfied that the Applicant has been served with a notice of hearing. This was an e-hearing.
3The hearing was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. The applicant failed to connect to the e-hearing by 2:20 p.m.
4The CICB, pursuant to section 7(1) of the Statutory Powers Procedure Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. S-22, as amended, and CICB Rule 3.4, is entitled to proceed in the absence of the Applicant without any further notice.
5Without deciding the merits of the Application the CICB hereby dismisses this Application as abandoned on the basis that the Applicant has failed to appear.
