1This is an application made under section 144(3) of the *Child and Family Services Act*, R.S.O. 1990, c. C 11, as amended, (the “Act”) for a review of the Respondent’s decision to refuse the application made by the Applicants in this matter to adopt [ ] born [date] (the “Child”).

2Following a hearing into this matter held on July 28^th and 29^th, August 2^nd and August 3^rd, and September 8^th 2016, the decision of the Child and Family Services Review Board (the “Board”) is as follows:

Having considered the best interests of the Child, the decision of the Respondent Society to refuse to place the Child for adoption with the Applicants is confirmed under subsection 144(11) of the *Child and Family Services Act*.

3Written reasons for this decision will be sent to the parties within thirty days of the last hearing date.
