The Registrar of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”) issued Notice of Proposal (“NOP”) number 18249 dated August 24, 2010 to refuse the application for a liquor licence made by Mega Brewing Co. Ltd. (the “Applicant”) operating as or intending to operate as MEGA BREWING CO. LTD., 450 Trudeau Drive, Unit # 1, Sarnia, Ontario, N7T 4V1, (the “establishment” or the “premises”), establishment number 808563, on the basis the AGCO has received one or more written objections to the Application.
A hearing of the application commenced on November 19, 2010 in the City of Sarnia. A second day for the hearing, set for December 8, 2010, was cancelled due to inclement weather but was anticipated to be rescheduled.
By way of an email dated December 8, 2010 from Mr. Richard Watt, on behalf of the corporate Applicant, to the Registrar’s Representative, Mr. Phillip Morris, he advised that the Applicant was abandoning the application.
By email dated December 8, 2010, the Registrar’s Representative notified the Board that the Applicant had abandoned the application and, in turn, that the Registrar was withdrawing the NOP.
The Board therefore, CONFIRMS the acceptance of the withdrawal of NOP number 18249 issued to Mega Brewing Co. Ltd., operating as or intending to operate as MEGA BREWING CO. LTD., 450 Trudeau Drive, Unit # 1, Sarnia, Ontario, N7T 4V1, establishment number 808563.
