Allegations

1A hearing by teleconference into a Notice of Proposed Order (“NOPO”) dated November 10, 2009, file number 116424, registration number 114534, to suspend the registration of RANDY PAUL COPPAWAY, 239 Princess Street, Peterborough, Ontario, K9J 2B4, as a gaming assistant in the class of gaming employee, on the basis that that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the Registrant will not act as a gaming assistant in accordance with law, or with integrity, honesty, or in the public interest, having regard to the past conduct and the Registrant has carried on activities that have been in contravention of the Gaming Control Act and regulations or the terms of registration, was held on January 15, 2010 in the City of Toronto.

Preliminary Matters

2Mr. Coppaway appeared on his own behalf and waived the right to be represented by legal counsel.

3Mr. Morris advised that the NOPO was amended to reduce the proposed suspension from 30 days to 14 days.

4The issue was resolved when the parties agreed to a 14 day suspension.

Order

5Based on the agreement of the parties, the Board confirms its oral ORDER that the registration of RANDY PAUL COPPAWAY, 239 Princess Street, Peterborough, Ontario, K9J 2B4, registration number 114534, as a gaming assistant in the class of gaming employee be suspended for 14 days commencing at 12:01 a.m. on March 8, 2010 and to continue to 12:00 p.m. on March 21, 2010.
